I wonder why everybody is so modernly pessimistic.
No one is content with themselves today, doesn´t acknowledge their success -small or big in their daily round, every small girl “is fat”, nothing is good enough because “it could be done better”, I mean every girl is doing a great job holding themselves down.
If one gives a compliment to a girl, even the prettiest one gets shy and she either gets ironic or cuts the compliment short. Couldn´t everybody stop doing that and just say THANKS?
It´s like we have forgotten to be human and started wanting perfection so bad that we get complexed even about our positive feauters. Well how could we improve or grow if we don´t even se ourselfes the way we are? Nor even acknowledge our simplest success in school, work or our appearance.
Now, now, I don´t want everybody to gather their hands & start singing “I am beautifuuuul, in every single waaaaay”, because that isn´t true. But that´s the point! Be real about BOTH your positive & negative feauters.
I LOVE all media, fashion, popular culture and all the perfect images they feed us with. BUT, I understand that they are Photoshoped, edited and “un natural”. All the wonderful movies we see are beautiful stories that are supposed to entertain us, not make us feel bad about our own lifes. They aren´t real.
In real life there is a natural beauty, and a course that we sometimes can & sometimes can´t change, it´s about the attitude YOU CHOOSE to have, it´s all in our mind. But choose to be free, and fight for yourself & your own acknowledgement in your own mind. Approve yourself. Be real. That´s when you´ll be able to say THANKS to a nice person giving you a compliment.

Everyone that has read my blog earlier knows that I LOVE a good image, how it speaks for itself.
I feel a bit healthy & I wanted to find some inspiration on the net. I´m not exactly on the Forbes list of healthy living & will never be a health junkie, but I would like to not be so simular to a crash.
Lucky me, I found some really strong, beautiful, sexy pictures of strong women that I wanted to share.
I get really inspired & feel like creating something….even running….but my gasping for air, reaching to a total stranger for the last help takes the fun out of it. I´ll just settle with enjoying the first creation that I call, “the Swank”:
It´s so powerful I can almost feel the wind in my hear and the salty smell of the sea & the sand between my toes…..even the sand in my mouth after falling graciously on the ground.
Another important step to having a full-functioning body -stretching! I would love to try a yoga class. My body screams for it… But I´ve still got my instincts you know, like if someone would push me for example, I would fall down like this:
Without exageration or a death whish, I´d break my back if I´d pull a stunt like that….well at least a little self irony won´t hurt me..

Are you that type of person that buys dresses but never wears them?
A dress makes you feel feminine & a bit dressed up, even if the dress is casual & you´re going to work or school. For some persons it´s a bit hard to handle that feeling. Even if you´re not the dressy type of gal, try a dress on & se what it does to you!! Remember, casual or preppy-either way it will make you feel a bit special.

I´ve been thinking about old folks, about how nobody sees them anymore and how many of them that actually think that they used to be somebody, when they are the ones with a lifetime experience, knowledge & wisdom.
Ok, so this outfit really gives her away but what if our granddaughter or son walked by Gwen Stefani on the street when she´s old, not looking at her, not knowing who she was & is, not even making eye contact with her, making her feel like air. That´s what we do every day to oldies…
When I saw these pictures I knew that I had to write a post about this & use the celebrities to make a point. Even if this comes out a little superficial -but these photos really make me realize that everybody is somebody, non related to age, looks or anything else for that matter.
I wish that I had a grandma or grandpa to talk to & ask many questions. It would be so great to take part of their wisdom & see things from their point of view!

7. Or how about a nice pair of underwear! With the tag on (& a sticker over the price from the store) they can always change to the right size if it´s not…
8. Make up, or make up things, some good brushes (the make up -istas would love it!)…. Remember that there are mineral-make up that even take care of your skin! Look for that!
For the real music- & movielovers it is always nice ot get some good soundtracks from series or movies or a DVD-box. Since everbody´s downloading they don´t spend money on that sort of stuff anymore, but it´s still really NICE to have the real deal in your home. Again, for the real music- & movie lovers.
10. Why not a movie + the soundtrack of it in a Christmas gift? It´s a great gift & will be used many years to come.
I want to buy so many things for my friends, family & me!! But I can´t take financial suicide. If you´re on the same level right now I hope you´ve enjoyed our window shopping spree, but if you have the cash let it flow baby. When this finantial (?=¤%)#((/=)¤ ) is over, I´ll be back to shine

In this post you can watch easy videos that are good instructors for how to get smokey eyes, how to put on and take off false eye lashes, how to put on a good daily make up, inspiring photos of celebrity and faux pas etc.
To start off short I really love the result after a 5 minute make up, on a daily basis that´s all that you need. Sure I could go a whole day without make up but it´s sooo boring! And It´s an important morning routine for me because if I don´t put on my make up in the morning, my body goes in to a laid back & tired mode. I love to be inspired in my everyday use of beauty aids not just when I’m going out or on a party. I tear out photos from my magazines and keep them in my room or in my wallet, just as a little reminder.

My favourite brands are so many, I wouldn´t know where to start. Some of them have a lot of good work (PR and such) behind their brands, some less. Have you ever thougth about what makes you notice a brand?
I don´t reject the work behind a brand and the atmosphere or feeling a brand can give me, I could buy a certain make up because of the feeling that the brand and design gives me, even if I can choose another one that´s cheaper. Sometimes I don´t. It depends on what movies I´ve seen lately or the different influences that surrond me.
I really like the thought behind the Make up Store boutiques…they feel professional and aesthetic.

I just bought a new perfume from Make up Store, it´s called “I do“. It´s actually from their wedding line, shocker huh? …It smells absolutely marvellous! I´ve never had such romantic, fresh, women-ly fragrance in my nasal hair before. It looks like this:

Back to the makeup! (I warned you, this post is really a medley)
1 Number one product: This is a good product to start with, the primer:
Many of us only use primers on our eyes to make the eye shadow sit putt, but one for the whole face is luxury! It makes your face feel like silicone, maybe not the best parable but silky as hell. And it helps the make up to stay in its place, it´s a functional base product. You put it on after your daily facial cream & just before your make up base.
2 Number two is a really good foundation or powder, depending on your skin type. Many products are good and don´t have to be expensive to prove that, the standards today are fantastic even at low prices. But a mineral foundation doesn´t damage your skin as much. To be honest I don´t use those because I find them a bit oily.
TIP FOR THE SUMMER: in the middle of the day it’s so hot and sunny in the summer so I don’t like wearing foundation. Many of us don’t even need a foundation on a sun tanned skin, although the corner of our eyes can be red or uneven. Instead I bought this wonderful product that I absolutely love.
it makes your eye make up stay put (even without a foundation)
it gives you a fresh over all look because of the lighter contour of your eye
it evens up your skin nuances
just don’t put on too much, don’t over do the amount
It makes the contour of your eye lighter for an over all fresh look, and really keeps the eye make up on all day! It’s one of my most favourite products in the base range. A must for your complete make up bag.
3 Number three is a nice eye shadow (better yet a coulpe of- ).
Some think that this kind of black make up is too heavy to wear in the middle of the day, but really it isn´t! If you let the lips stay in a natural color or wear this kind of beige lipstick or lipgloss, it won´t be too much. Even think about wearing a light blush in this case. But save the sparkeling black eye shadow for glowing in the night……
The cat-eye-look is so nice to all styles: hardrock, fashionista, doll, punk…. It depends on the rest of the details and color combinations on what personality you have, for example the lip and skin color.
I see a lot of girls that don´t have the right daily makeup base. Either the foundation is too covering or uneven (or the wrong color). Or the eyebrows are porly or badly marked or just too much (even here some choose a wrong color). It´s a bit hard to find your best daily makeup… (you´ll find a good video a bit further down)
Be inspired of these lovely ladies, and detect every single spot of color, shimmering or matt areas, just to be aware of the look and the way you can work with make up.
They are role models for the natural make up. If you look really close and see the faces as a canvas you can find the details that will make your own make up look exactly the way you want it.

4 Number four are the lips and cheeks
Girls, don´t forgett the lips… I guarantee you that you´ll feel a lot sexier if you mark them. Maybe “sexier” is the wrong word because it depends on how you color them. They can also make you feel and look more fresh.
I found this pic that includes all the steps you need for wonderful lips. I haven´t tried the product so I can´t comment on it, I´m not telling you to necessarily buy it, but you can look for similar make up products for your lips as this:
Color your lips ladies! Wether you like them to be shiny, mate, colorful or conservative. You can use a color that´s similar to your own lip color. -What´s the point then? Well, it enhances the color in your face (cheeks, eyes, skin, hair) even if you use a natural color.
Just make sure the color doesn´t make your face look grey, pink or yellow. Point taken also for your teeth
To make your lip color stay on your lips you can use an invisible lipliner (it works because it´s waxy and locks the color in a perfect line). I have it my self and it works really well:
I found a tutorial video that I really liked because of the fresh result. A gorgeous Italian girl shares it on You Tube, so for you who don´t speak Italian, no worries, just watch te steps. I would love this result when having a bit of a tan
Notice the technique, you can use it with different colors.

There are many people who don´t know the importance of make up brushes. It took me a while before I got it! This is a great pic of how you use the different brushes for different lines:
I love strong colors in the make up, if you can wear it right. That is to choose the right outfit for it & to be able to make it look smart, not like a victim…
This is only an inspirational photo. You can use the same thought but change the colors! Use different shades of brown, grey, black, blue…. Do something different for the next party!
If you don´t want the makeup to show that much it´s also cool to wear a pale brown or grey color on the eyelid and a color like blue, green or turqoise on your lower eyeline.
Color is fun!! Don´t stop at the makeup, do like Kate Perry! The details are important, like these wicked shoes (they don´t HAVE to be rave, it depends on how you match them. Humor ladies! Don´t forget to have fun.

Most of us look better with makeup!! Period. But celebrity “are” a brand, a victim behind their names in some ways. They always have to look their best. Really challenging. But they do look really good & we love looking at beauty. That´s why these kind of pics are sooo juicy.
There is an art in make up-ing! It´s like a painter´s craft:
Makeup does the difference! Why not wear it? I see a lot of old-ish ladies that don´t wear makeup, that would look SO good if they did! I´d like to walk up to them and say: – do you know HOW STUNNING you would look with a little color in your face?! …but of course…only in my dreams

Makeup faux pas:
1: choose the right color on your foundation! It should be the same color as the nuance on your jawline, so that it won´t look like a mask! If you think it´s too bright, just put on that sun-powder on the forehead, nose and cheeks. That does the difference, do not choose a darker foundation.
2: eyebrows are really important. They frame your face & eyes. Form them by brushing the color on with your pencil, very easily. Look at Micha Bartons photo and do the opposite
3: eyeliner is great, but the line has to be straight. The buckles show! Also the eyeshadow has to be symmetric. Don´t put on too much shadow from the start. Don´t brush it on, pat it on if you’re insecure (on the eyelid).
4: your blush must not look like two lines. Brush it on while smileing on the top of your cheeks Use a little bit on your forehead (near your hair line) & in between your eyelids & eyebrows. The sun-powder does the rest.
5: you lipstick & lip pencil shouldn´t be around your mouth like a moat.
6: when you cover your red spots don´t overdo it so you´ll have light beige dotts on your face.

The first time I saw Reese Witherspoon was in a movie called “The man in the moon” from 1991. I was 10 years old then, and she was 15 when it came out… Have you seen it?
The next photo is from a scene that I replayed for my mom all day & she used to laugh because “I did it sooo well”, ….well…you already know that I´m good at making faces….
I remember that I really loved the way she acted, she made a big impression on me. The movie still makes me vibrate of emotions….I´ll have to watch it again soon, and you too!!
I fell in love in watching movies probably when my mom gave birth to me. It´s a great passion of mine because of the way you put storytelling & music together, how you create an ambience.

I´ve had many hair colors but I´ve never been blonde. It definetly makes me a bit curious about how I would look in it….but untill that day I´ll just dream away with this fabulous blonde….
So I found myself standing in front of all the haircolors in the Supermarket, looking at them seriously with big wide open eyes. Kind of like I would imagine children looking at a rack of porn magazines. Curious but frightened.
My partner in crime was mom. A person who embraces change, so my chances for walking away empty handed were slim to none. She´s the person in my life that always encouraged me to do things & take chances. She´s modern, artistic & just wonderful. We are so Gilmore girls
I don´t know if this upsets you as much as it does to me, but the color never turns out the same as on the pictures from the package! Why are they even there?? It feels like they don´t strain for us customers & in exchange they don´t feel credable. Please….don´t insult me. I can see the difference! They´re like the mascara commercials on tv, ‘your eyelashes will grow sooo long’ ..that you wouldn´t even know what hit you. And the models on tv wear false eyelashes -it´s OK, we know that…still a bit insulted…..we´ve already experienced all of that shit with Santa Claus, and the “sex-talk” we got for being curious.
I hate false marketing. Stay true, stand up for yourself! We girls have a lot of that & I try not to. I mean, come on, bras with silicone, fibre eyelashes, hairextentions, all the make-up, false nails…..have you seen that scene in “Fresh Prince in Bel Air” when Will gets locked in a repository with his date. After a while when she makes herself comfortable, she takes off all of those things…? Hahaaha. Will screams like a fire alarm. It´s an interesting message, don´t you think? Don´t get me wrong. I love make-up & style. But you can still be yourself!
To the point! We choose a hair color that´s called ‘satin darkblonde’.
I really wanted some new colors in my face & wanted to go for something like dark brown or a red-ish brown, something a bit more sophisticated, but from experience we went for the satin darkblonde. The second reason for me coloring my hear was that I wanted to see if that´s not just my own bullshit making noise…about the haircolor on the package & the result… If this doesn´t turn out to be one of the results on the package, I will call the company myself -not to act like an angry little noisemaker, but with a polite & curious tone, asking why they won´t try harder, what´s going on?? Can you imagine buying a pair of jeans & seeing that you got a different color when you get home? Or a laptop of your choice that´s another one when you take it out of the package? No way. Why should this be different??
So, I´m off coloring my hair now! Here´s a before picture.
I chose this one because I also wanted you to see one of my favourite cozy outfits. The skinny jeans are from Miss Sixty, I love them! And the jacket has a really cute dress-shape. And I love the buttons on the jacket:
The skinny jeans have really cool details, which I think are important for my own feeling & attitude, not just for the whole outfit. Even if the others can´t see them -I know they´re there.
The nice sixty wing on the back, the cool purple stitching, the zippers & the worn-out style (you can see 3 white marks on the right knee). Lovely!

Of course, it turned out red-ish….? Since the name of the color was “Satin Dark Blonde”.
I got a haircut too! …I went for a very dramatic change as you can see:
Haha not really, but she cut the ends into a straight line, which I like, and a little more fringe.
…the color was a small shock, but I´ll make it work! It looks different in different lights, sometimes it´s more light brown than red, sometimes more orange. I´ve had it a few days now & I can honestly say that I like it. I can actually wear grey now! That´s so fun!! And I was ready for a change. I´ll be out looking for new influenses & different makeup colors! Wiiii!
I watch all the movies & series that I can handle, when having a normal life. ”The Hills” hasen´t yet swept me off my feet, but I´m looking forward to it.
I´ve watched it a couple of times & I enjoy it, but I can´t really figure out why? The last one I saw was about the Cordeillan bal in Paris which was nice, & when Spence & Heidi broke up. I guess that I like the different characters…… But pictures & clothes are always fun for me so here is a little tribute to “The Hills”. Oh, I forgot the most important thing! They have an atmospheric & really nice soundtrack! I´m loving the music in that thing….

Lauren is now out with her second clothing line. I didn´t find anything special, nice, sweet, very wearable dresses but nothing original. Ok, ok, I know it´s very hard to come up with something original today! But here´s a little hint….don´t do something like this:
The next one is also a nice hairdo, I love the innocent white ribbon in her hair, matches really well to the black see-througt t-shirt! Lovely! (I´m sorry but the bag……is….painted on??)
Here´s a great picture of her…looks a bit retouched but who cares??! Just remember, all you kids out there, no one looks like this for real…don´t feel bad about yourself just becauze someone else is looking excellent in some pictures! Just enjoy the craft behind it…. that´s what I do. There will always be someone who looks better or worse than you do! That´s why I never compete with somebody else. The only one you really can look better or worse than is yourself.
